So I'm very stiff but I managed to walk my 3.5k yesterday in about 30 minuets which I thought wasn't to bad considering I'm still in some pain. I find that if I warm up by walking slowly my muscles warm up and give more easily and I have less pain.

I do think that I need to see a physio at some point though so I can get some tips on what is the best way to help it heal better. I have a feeling that I'm going to have more problems with this injury than I'm currently aware of.

So all being well I will call my personal trainer tomorrow and see what he thinks about me coming back to the gym at some point next week. I think I'll start with some swimming and then move up to the running machine by the weekend if I feel up to it.

I never thought I would long to start running but I guess I've read so much about other peoples achievements and personal goals and stories that I too want to be there and be able to shear it with you. I now see myself as a mental runner, I just now have to get the physical part up and going, and get it right.

What's the old cliché 'every journey of 1000 miles starts with the first step' well I took my first step and now I want to make my journey of 1000 miles. I still don't see myself every doing a full Marathon, but who knows. For me it's not about the length or millage it's about achieving the action and maintaining it.

I wish I could get Baz to do it with me, and I know if I lead by example then maybe he will do it by himself. If I can I will take him out and get him fitted for a pair of running shoe when I get some money.

So on another note I'm on day 2 of my 7 days in a row at work. I even dreamt that I was half way through it last night... I get the feeling it's going to be a long week.

I also decided I'm going to ask to be moved from the basement floor in the shop to the leisure department after academic season. (I manage the academic floor in a book store). I would really like to work in the leisure section for christmas.

Any ways I'm off or I'll be late.
