As you know I am laid up with my back problem so I have had some extra time on my hands when the drugs are not making me sleep like a log...

I've been really interested in how the area where we live looked like 100 years ago so I have been looking like mad for copies of maps of the area... here are some of the ones I have found.

The area where we live use to be called Bassington's Nursery an area of land owned a Thomas Bassington. 

Other interesting things about the area is that some of the fields where used for making bricks, as the city and Islington starts to expand they needed to get supplies from the local area.
