So I have a secret... I'm a secret Banoffee Pie Monster, well I was till I became Vegan almost six years ago.
I just couldn't find a way of making Condensed Milk. You see it has a taste that is so unique that I just couldn't work out how to do it.
On Wednesday this past week I can across an amazing website called veganbaking.net and came across a recipe by Mattie, who in my view is a god.
Last night I made 3/4 of a pint of the sticky stuff, it did take some time and I'm sure next time I would use a larger pan so it had a bigger area to boil the liquid off from (this may cut down time).
One thing I would say is if your going to make it keep in mind all that is good will come to those who wait.
