I really love sunflowers and when I saw these I had to take a photo and post it for you...

I haven't blogged in over a week as I've not had much time and I haven't been feeling so hot...

As the credit crunch hits I've started to find making ends meet harder. One thing that has fallen by the way side is eating raw. With two of us living together and trying to feed us both on about £30-40 a week (including feeding the cats) choice about food is one of the first things to go. I have found cooking two meals of a night very expensive. I know some of you will say 'veg is cheap' but I'm sorry to say a balanced diet on raw cost a lot more than a cooed Vegan diet.

I'm very real when I look at what I eat, I know that the best diet for me is a raw Vegan diet, with two pints of green smoothie a day. I also know that if I can't do that then a Vegan diet with as many vegetables  as I can bulking up my food will be as good as it gets for now.

I've just found a shop that sells cheap tinned beans, I know it would be cheaper cooking them myself but this comes down to time and energy. Energy in both scenes of the word. It would use a lot of gas to cook the beans and as gas prices have now gone through the roof it offsets the cost of tined beans.

I thought I would bring you up to date on my health... As you know I have been in a lot of pain after my accident at work and one of the side-affects are headaches, having them has meant that I have been having a really hard tome sleeping and thus my M.E has come back a little, including pains in my legs and feeling tired. When I get tired I tend to eat to keep up my energy, but you don't have to be Einstein to work out I then tend to put on lots of weight... I asked the doctor if she could help and she told me to see the nurse.

So this Friday I had my appointment with her (Jane) I have had some bad experience with any medical person when talking about my diet and being Vegan. But I have to say Jane was a star, She is vegi and after chatting for a few moments she said 'well you seem to know your stuff so I don't need to tell you what to eat'. I explained that when I feel like this I don't feel full or know when I'm hungry (I just don't get the feelings). So she offered me a drug called  Sibutramine (sorry about the colour but it matches the pills). I started taking them yesterday and for a first day it was good. I didn't feel hungry and when I did eat I just felt like I wanted to stop after a few mouth full. I made a really nice dinner last night and thought I test you... and after eating less than a quarter of what I would have eaten I just had to stop, I couldn't get another thing down.

If like me you are a bit 'Oh my god drugs aren't the answer' I have reached the end of my diet hell/life, I know what to eat and I know to lose weight I have to EAT LESS, I'm not stupid. But if you don't have the feelings of full or hungry then there must be a problem. Any ways the long and the short of it is I'm going to try these pills and see.

I phoned my sister to tell her that I was on them and see what she had to say, only to be told that she had been on them for a few months and she had lost 28lbs in weight. And to top it off they had put her daughter on it too.

So we shall see how it goes and I'm sure I will let you know how things go...

If you want to know more about the drug then if you click on the colourful drug name above then it will take you through to the page that will give you more information.

Talk soon...
